Yogic Motion's mission is to provide those new to yoga or with physical limitations a place to get the individual attention they need in a yoga class. Our goal is to provide a supportive, fun environment where the basics of Hot Yoga can be learned. Many of our members come to us with chronic injuries. With regular practice, those injuries become alleviated. We also get a great deal of those new yoga. Our beginner classes emphasis good solid basics and you will learn how to be safe in any yoga class. Gain an impressive amount of overall strength and flexibility through regular practice. About the yoga: Our beginning hot hatha yoga classes are a 60 minute physically challenging experience. Our hot yoga lineage stems from the former U.S.Yoga Association in San Francisco. All classes are based on the classic 84 asanas from the Bisnhu Ghosh lineage. Our system is static position class with 30 minutes of standing pose to build strength, balance, concentration and 30 minutes of floor exercises for flexibility, stress relief and therapeutic benefits to the internal organs. Beginner classes will work every portion of your body from bone marrow to skin through compression and extension. Consistent regular practice can aid in relief of chronic pain and improve overall health. All postures can be modified to accommodate physical limitations such as injury or pregnancy. Our approach: Our lineage stems from physical culture. The belief that before the mind and spirit can be reached, the body must be fixed. We focus on Hatha (physical ) Yoga as vehicle towards this means. There is no focus on meditation or spiritual development emphasized at the studio. Our classes are meant to fix the body so the mind can concentrate properly when one does meditate. We do not offer vinyasa or flow classes. About the Staff Director Teachers |
